Efficient Essentials for Losing Weight

Losing weight can be tough, especially without lot of time in your schedule. However, there are ways that you can boost weight loss without having to spend hours at a gym or starving yourself!

When you want to lose weight, there are a few big "essentials" that rule the game. Once you have these figured out, the process gets a lot easier - and even automatic.

1. Reducing Stress

Reducing stress is fundamental to performing optimally in life. When you are stressed out, you tend to eat without much thought or be drawn to sugary foods or junk food to relieve some of the strain. This is a big no-no when you are on a weight-loss journey as it will certainly work against you.

It is easier said then done, but you need to identify things in your life that are stressing you out or burning your energy and try your best to eliminate them or find ways to lessen the burden. 

It is great to journal out things on your mind, your thoughts, feelings and headspace to clear your mind and lessen some of your anxieties.

Once you are able to reduce or manage stress in your life, you can better balance everything going on around you and even find extra time and energy to work on burning calories and eating healthier.

2. Eating Healthier

This might be easier said then done, but tying back to the first point, it is a lot easier when you are not stress-eating. Once you have your mind sorted out, you can better plan what you should or shouldn't eat, instead of giving in to impulses. Get creative by finding healthy recipes to try out or going with a friend who eats healthier who can help at the grocery store.

Eating fresh fruits, vegetables, a lot of protein and other nutrients can provide you with the building blocks to get through the day, having fulfilled some of the sugar or junk food cravings we typically have.

 

3. Quick Cardio

Quick cardio can be done in 5 minutes and twice a day to help burn many calories. Upping that time can burn even more. Examples of quick cardio include jogging in place, running on a treadmill or down the road or doing jumping jacks to get the heartbeat going and help slim down faster, without taking up a lot of time out of your schedule. If nothing else, simply walking more regularly is a great way to boost momentum and get the body comfortable with movement again, gradually being able to do more to burn calories.

4. Quick Shaping Exercises

There are a lot of exercises out there that do not take a lot of time. They are quick, do not hurt and provide you with a way to work out anywhere that you are, even in the shower when you’re washing your hair.

Squats are a great one to do. You can squat anywhere. Not only does this tone your body, but it helps to shape and strengthen your core.

Sit ups are a quick way to lose some tummy weight, when you modify them to make them harder or easier, you can find a happy medium in your work out routine.

Once you’ve gone through these, not only will you notice a change in your weight but also in your mood. You will feel better overall, and will be ready and willing to tackle anything else that gets in your way.

Be empowered to do better when you put all of these great healthy habits into practice and start seeing the pounds drop off and the self-confidence rise.
